Help McMillin Homes and local charities provide for those in need

Thanks to whirlwind schedules of shopping, eating, traveling, gathering, and eating (again), the holidays tend to breeze by for most of us. For some San Antonio-area families, however, this time of year serves as a reminder of what they lack and how difficult each day can be. That makes for an unsettling Christmas, and we’re asking for your help in changing that.

Judging by the childrens’ cries of anguish and the adults’ cries of muted joy, the school year must be upon us. And as any parent knows, one of the most-celebrated back-to-school rituals – the mad dash for school supplies – already is in full swing.

Likewise, McMillin Homes is in the middle of collecting supplies for school children who may not have enough resources to be fully equipped, and we’re asking for your help. Between now and August 15, 2011, McMillin Homes is accepting donations of school supplies for needy kids at our main office, the Design Studio, or any McMillin model home.

The model home at McMillin Homes’ Presidio neighborhood is making its acting debut this weekend! Tune into HGTV for House Hunters on Sunday, July 10, 2011, for a peek inside one of San Antonio’s best communities.
