We employ local, award-winning architects to create designs that enhance the natural beauty of our area and provide a wide range of customizable features. Our floor plans are analyzed by interior designers who specialize in space planning, helping our goal of giving you a beautiful and functional home. Better yet, our state of the art Design Center exists to assist you in personalizing your McMillin Home with the best colors, options, and upgrades, ensuring that you have had a hand in selecting the inside and outside details.
Built
McMillin Homes is family-owned and -operated, and because we're a private company, our goal is to satisfy our homeowners, not stockholders. After 50 years of home-building experience in the California and Texas markets, we understand the needs and requirements of our communities and homeowners. McMillin has built almost 30,000 homes, 16 mixed-use master-planned communities, more than 20 parks, schools, and even military residences, and we approach each project with the same level of care that has existed since our 1960 founding.
Such attention to detail is evidenced in the quality of the materials used in our homes, such as post tension slab foundations, which are stronger, better suited to the expansive San Antonio soils, and more reliable. Furthermore, every McMillin home is inspected at four critical stages by a licensed, third-party inspector who conducts thorough examinations of the foundation, framing, flashing, insulation, and more. Before closing, a video inspection of the home's sewer line is conducted to ensure there are no obstructions or blockages.
Green
As one of the most environmentally conscious home builders in the nation, McMillin's commitment to ecologically friendly development and green technologies begins at neighborhood planning and continues through to the materials used in our homes. All McMillin homes are built to ENERGY STAR® specifications, making them up to 30% more energy efficient than standard homes, and our use of ENERGY STAR® appliances ensures homeowners will continue to save money on their electric bills.
We begin with state-of-the-art component building systems that save money and resources through reduced waste. Our tight construction techniques and materials like quality sheathing and insulation, sealed duct work, properly sized HVAC systems, and more ensure better air quality and improved comfort for your family. In addition to standard green features, however, every McMillin home can be outfitted with a broad range of environmentally friendly options such as upgraded insulation, home automation systems, and hot water circulating pumps.

Connection
One of our primary goals during the home-building process is to ensure you are provided the most recent information about your home and that you have direct access to our representatives for any questions and concerns. McMillin Homes achieves this through a combination of online tools and personal communication to give you peace of mind about your investment.
You can monitor the progress and activity of construction of your home through our Talk to McMillin system, which is available around the clock during construction and closing. There you can submit customer service requests, communicate with sales counselors and McMillin department managers, and view documents. In addition, we maintain personal communication with you throughout the process—even after closing—with calls from and meetings with the construction and sales team.
